The serger, often equated to something like ablack hole or the Bermude Triangle -- it's amaing what one of these can really get done and how misunderstood (and feared) they are.  I once had a seamstress sum it up like this, "a serger is to a sewing machine like the microwave is the oven and there is no way I could live without my microwave!"  If you sew you need a serger!!!
