Hello Viking Friends,

I’ll start with a little “bio” on me, then get on to the important information ---

My name is Trudy Hutchinson.  I’m a native Houstonian with a love for sewing by hand and machine since I was eight years old.  My first attempts were Barbie clothes on Mom’s Singer – stealing time on her Singer was the hardest part.  Mom was a wonderful seamstress  -- and no way was she nuts enough to let an eight year old kid mess with her expensive machine !  I made some real messes – like putting in sleeves upside down …. And I still can’t figure out what went wrong with that first zipper ??!!    I became mesmerized by machine embroidery about ten years ago when I saw a lady stitching monograms at a craft show.

 

After more than 35 years working outside the home, and living all over this great nation, I’m now retired, back home, and hope to become the accomplished seamstress that you ladies are !!   It was my pleasure to meet several of you at the January and February meetings.  Just one glimpse at your show and tell projects tells me there is much I can learn from you.
