Quilting

Hi Members,

It's a Happy New Year, and we are starting off with a tablerunner design that Lynn has named "Celebration". Actually there are two designs, one for the beginners among us. See your attachments for the two designs and the yardage requirements. Use the colors in the drawings as a guide to your color values, light, medium, dark medium and darkest. Lynn chose cream, gold, dark red, and dark green for hers in that order from lightest to darkest.

We have one more block for last year's quilt to demo and discuss this month and then next month we'll start the blocks for the tablerunner. You'll have this month to get your fabrics together. New members bear with us while we finish our last piece of 2009.

During 2010 we are going to make two quilt projects, the tablerunner and a lap size mystery quilt and a "block taker" and a portable design wall.

The store is running a 10 month Embroidery machine BOM ( Block of the Month) Quilt by the Hoopsisters, check the website www.sewingmachinewarehouse.com for more details and sign up at the store if you are interested in participating. The Kick Off meeting is Saturday January 30th at 9 AM.
